Sometimes lines are hit hard as it appears Chelsea has been here. It doesn't take much to move a line in soccer, even the popular English Premier League. Once the line moves a large amount the books may protect themselves from scalpers by not moving both sides of the line. If they did move both sides scalpers could buy back the other side.

The total line may have been hit hard as well. If a lot of people bet on one side of a total that would cause the vig to change a lot. The books could lose money if someone bet one side of the line only to move it and later bet the other side to scalp it.

Normal lines that haven't been bet hard still have the vig at 10 cents or even less.

Oh Well Unless The Juice Drops Not For Me. If They Get Hit One Way Change The Line. Do Not Add Ridiculous Juice. If Someone Hits A College Football Game Big We Won't See The Juice Go Up. I Am Pissed Off As They Are A Good Book. I Like Their Team Totals And Quarters.

quantum- You're a good poster and I like your opinion but you're trying to make a case for Olympic's larcenous vig on soccer. Except there is no excuse for the type of lines they put up. Tang is completely correct in his post. I have come to realize that Olympic doesn't care if they write one bet on soccer. I think the person making their soccer lines is the same genius that comes up with those football props such as "who will cross midfield first" and "will a team's final total be odd or even". All with a 30 cent line, of course.

As far as Olympic having to worry about scalpers, they can feel pretty safe about the fact that a 37 cent straddle on a soccer total pretty much eliminates that worry.

soccerbob- I'm glad we have a mutual respect. I am not familiar with Oly's vig on soccer and was assuming they were like this only when a match was hit hard. The other books usually start at 10 cents or even 8 cents for the vig until betting gets heavy on one side. Then, to prevent scalping, the difference gets bigger. I was assuming Oly was this way as well.

If they are charging 37 cents vig for a beginning line then I would agree that is larcenous. BetBrain.com will give you several other books that will give you a much better price.

Basically It Just Gives Me A Good Reason To Fund My Pinnacle Account That Much Faster. Olympic Soccer Lines Open With Anywhere Between 20 And 50 Cents Worth Of Juice At Olympic Depending On The League.

Soccerbob I Agree What Kind Of Idiot Would Lay A Bet On Odd Or Even In A Football Game Or Basketball Game. Their Props Suck At Olympic Bad Juice Low Limits.
